Microsoft Word - Run Macro from Shape

We’ve been tearing our hair out to try to understand how to run VBA macros in Microsoft Word from a button - it’s so simple in Excel.
We have found an excellent solution to share with you...
1. Create a button by inserting a new shape.
2. Format it to suit your taste.
3. Add a caption (Edit Text).
4. Double click on the caption to highlight it.
5. Now insert a field to replace the text - on the Mac, Insert>Field... - on Windows, look in QuickParts.
6. To build the field, you want Document Automation, MacroButton, then complete the name and text for the macro.
7. Save your document (!)
8. Double-clicking the button caption runs the macro.

Neat, huh?

Feedback appreciated.
